Farewell Colego Santa Ursula

Oh the pain of saying goodbye to our sister school... As you know, our Brazil delegation experienced joyful and magical days with our Brazilian Ursuline family. It was not easy to say goodbye but, true to their style, Colegio Santa Ursula sent us off with great warmth and generosity. First, on Wednesday afternoon, the primary school children organized a farewell ceremony for us where they sang "You are my sunshine" in English and played several musical selections for us. It was adorable and brought tears to our eyes. We also received a beautiful, hand-made Brazilian gift for Ursuline Dallas - a paper basket and ceramic bowels with capybaras (the world's largest rodent, native to Brazil) painted on them. This sweet farewell was a bittersweet occasion for all of us!

All too soon, morning came and it was time to leave for the airport. Again, generously, our friends (now family) accompanied us to the airport and stayed with us until the last possible moment. The sobbing and tears at the airport were endless - from both groups. Needless to say, it was a gloomy next few hours for our Dallas students who are still missing their enchanted life at Colegio Santa Ursula.

We lack words to thank Sr. Helenice and everyone at Colegio Santa Ursula for this magnificent experience. Our lives are forever enriched and we will never forget these special days with you - Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ! We love you and we will be waiting for you in Dallas!!!
