THANK YOU!!

To wrap up our Australia delegation posts, we want to pay tribute to our "dream team" of chaperones. THANK YOU to each of you, Mrs. Clark, Ms. Hayes, Mrs. Carpenter and Sister Lois for being so helpful, joyful and caring throughout our journey! Our first-ever delegation was a success much due to your kindness and awesomeness. A big koala hug to each of you!

Our Mini Delegate to Australia, Ana Margarita

While we are waiting for our group to return from Australia, I thought everyone would enjoy seeing some highlights from Ana Margarita, our "mini delegate" to Australia. Our students really enjoyed Ana Margarita and she enjoyed accompanying them daily on all of their adventures. As you can see below, Ana Margarita was just "one of the girls" on our delegation.

Brisbane and Sydney Excursion

Our delegation has spent their last days in Australia on an excursion to Brisbane and Sydney. Brisbane is Australia's third most populous city and the capital of Queensland. In Brisbane, the group attended a cultural show and dinner which was an Australian Outback Extravaganza! They then headed to their historic hotel which was situated in the center of the city, along the Brisbane river and in the financial district. Their time there was short but, fortunately, many of our students had the opportunity to visit Brisbane on their first weekend with their host families.

On their last full day in Australia, our delegation arrived in beautiful Sydney. Despite some clouds and wind, the enthusiasm for seeing the world-famous Opera House and cruising along Sydney Harbor in their chartered vessel was grand. An additional joy was that Sr. Lois was joined by a dear friend, another Ursuline sister, for the day. Our students and teachers definitely made the most of their time in Sydney as you can see from the photos below.

The day ended with a lovely buffet dinner overlooking the twinkling lights of the city and Sydney Harbor from the Sydney Tower Eye. It was a perfect farewell-to-Australia dinner for our group!
