Serviam day at Wimbledon High School

Friday was a very special day for our delegation.  They joined Wimbledon students in the spacious culinary technology classroom to prepare cheese straws, biscuits, and scones for residents of the nearby Beaumont Assisted Living Community. As ounces turned into grams, aromas filled the room and girls worked together to perfectly prepare the culinary delights.
Their efforts were not lost on the Beaumont residents who the girls greeted with smiles, hugs and treats.  Girls and residents spent over two hours in conversations, sharing their old memories and new expectations.  The visit culminated in an impromptu singing of “Amazing Grace” which delighted the ladies and gentlemen of Beaumont.

The delegation returned to school for the usual earlier Friday dismissal and went home with their host families to enjoy the week-end ahead.
