Farewell & Thank you to Ursuline High School, Wimbledon!

After spending the week-end with their host families, our delegation had to face the dreaded day of saying good-bye.  Wimbledon and Ursuline girls and their Dallas chaperones and participating Wimbledon faculty members joined together in the chapel to give thanks for the friends they all had made and the opportunities to learn about each other. Amid songs,  prayers and words from the counsels of St. Angela, each girl took a rose petal from the altar and shared one word she would use to best describe the days together. 

 

Finally, the time came for the Dallas girls to assemble their luggage and board the bus for the airport.  Selfies were taken, hugs were given and tears were wiped away.  One happy note, however, was evident in the refrain which filled the air, “Only 6 weeks until Wimbledon comes to Dallas!”
