Exploring Sydney

We have had a couple of days to explore beautiful Sydney and have been most impressed with this fast-moving and cosmopolitan city. Two of our favorite places have been the Sydney Aquarium and the Sydney Harbor. We actually took a short cruise through the harbor so that we could see all parts of the city from the water - It was breathtaking! We also took a city tour where we learned about the different neighborhoods in Sydney and about the history of the city.  Here are some of the highlights from our visit:

Look closely - It's a Platypus! They are native to Australia.

A Dugong! He's related to the Manatee.

Sharks, another Australia native

There's no better place than Australia to learn about Corals

St. Mary's Cathedral

Sydney Sandstone

"The Rocks", the oldest neighborhood in Sydney

World famous Bondi beach (pronounced Bond-eye)

An Aussie Meat Pie!

The Sydney Opera House

The Sydney Harbor bridge
