AT&T Stadium and The North Texas Food Bank

Today our Guests from England had a busy day of touring, working and sharp contrasts. First, the group visited the AT&T (American) Football Stadium in Arlington, home of the American Football team, The Dallas Cowboys. They enjoyed the VIP tour which included a visit to the field, a suite, locker rooms and more. The giant size and lavish style of the stadium made quite an impression on the students.

After the tour and a quick stop for lunch, it was time for a different kind of experience - a Serviam experience!  The students volunteered at The North Texas Food Bank, a food bank which provides food to hundreds of agencies and thousands of families in need in North Texas. The group was hard at work all afternoon, sorting canned vegetables while learning more about the problem of hunger which faces so many people these days. The students were very tired but very gratified with the large impact that they were able to make in such a short time. In fact, several of them said that they hope to volunteer at a similar agency when they return to London (yay Serviam spirit!). All in all, it was a long but extremely rewarding and interesting day in Dallas!
