Today in Lima
And today, while we were saying goodbye to our visiting French delegation here at home, our UA Dallas delegation enjoyed their first full day in Lima, Peru. The delegation took a wonderful tour of the city of Lima which included the central plaza, the Cathedral, the house of the President and some gorgeous overlook areas with views of the ocean (yes, Lima is a coastal city - people often forget this important fact). The students and teachers had lunch at the famous "Pardos" restaurant where the specialty is roasted chicken with hand-cut fried potatoes (the Incas were the first to farm potatoes so they are extremely abundant and popular in Lima.) What a beautiful and fantastic day!
