Celebrating 20 Years of Sisterhood with Huaxia

Today is the big day for which we have all been waiting!! Today we celebrated 20 years of sisterhood and partnership with Beijing Huaxia Girls' School! The school day celebration included a parade, a ceremony and all sorts of student activities including Chinese games, calligraphy and selfie photo stations. We also enjoyed a beautiful photo exhibit from Mr. Thompson who visited China in 2007. Ms. Ross created a gorgeous display of items from our exchanges in the Heritage gallery. The Rangerettes and a group of local fan dancers from China performed during both student lunches. SAGE provided a special Asian-themed lunch which included homemade dumplings and the Bear Facts published a special edition newspaper in honor of the day. Students were especially excited about their commemorative blazer pins and about the chance to win special prizes including some adorable stuffed pandas. It was a festive, joyful and enthusiastic celebration for all!
