Last night we ended our Anniversary celebration with a Chinese banquet at Kirin Court restaurant in honor of our guests from China and our 20 years of cultural and educational exchange. We invited many old and new friends including all of the Ursuline teachers and administrators who have visited Huaxia Girls' School. We also invited all of our generous host families who came with their exchange Chinese daughters from Huaxia. We were especially honored to have Ms. Underhill join us as well since she is the Ursuline principal who began the exchange with Huaxia. The meal was delicious and joyful laughs and conversation filled the room the entire evening.
Even though Sr. Margaret Ann and Dr. Li could not be with us for the celebration day, their presence was felt at every moment. To all of those who began this relationship and to all those who have sustained it over the years, we say a very heart-felt THANK YOU. We will never be able to thank you enough for your vision and your contribution to our schools but we hope to honor you with our enduring friendship and our commitment to peace. Here's to the next 20 years!!
