Today was the first full day for our students and teachers in Wimbledon, England. We received this news from Ms. Morris, one of our wonderful chaperones:
The Tennis Championships in Wimbledon start later this month, and today we got an early
glimpse of the beautiful tennis complex, which includes 50 courts. We enjoyed
a behind-the-scenes walking tour. We toured the courts (the centre court was
our favorite) and the official media room. Thank you, Miss Torto, Ursuline High
School English Teacher, for joining in on the fun. Amelie, our mini delegate,
enjoyed the tour as well.
Our 13 students will spend the weekend with their host sisters. Host family activities include visiting Harry Potter World, enjoying Brighton Beach, and shopping on Oxford Street.
More cultural experiences await us, and we can’t wait. Thank you, Ursuline high School, for your hospitality!
