The Gold Coast & other fantastic weekend activities!

Our Australia delegates are enjoying a beautiful, sunny weekend with their St. Ursula's host families. Many are spending time on Australia's glorious beaches and, in particular, on the Gold Coast, which is about 2 hours west of Toowoomba. The Gold Coast is a city in the Australian state of Queensland, approximately 66 kilometres (41 mi) south-southeast of the state capital Brisbane and immediately north of the border with New South Wales. The Gold Coast is the sixth-largest city in Australia, making it the largest non-capital city, and Queensland's second-largest city. It's a gorgeous place and our students and teachers are enjoying every minute there!

Other activities this weekend have included visiting the city of Brisbane, visiting the Sunshine Coast, shopping, hiking, waterskiing and attending a professional Rugby match. Being with our Aussie hosts has  been great fun and our students are enjoying every minute!
