Weekend in England

Our Wimbledon delegates are enjoying their first British weekend with great enthusiasm. They have had abundant adventures with their host sisters and have visited places such as Hyde Park, Harry Potter World, BBC studios, Buckingham Palace, Brighton Beach, Harrods Department Store and more! They are quickly learning how to use the Tube and the public transport and they are being careful to "mind the gap." So far, England has been an exciting and thrilling experience !

Wimbledon Day 1 - Game, Set, Match!

Today was the first full day for our students and teachers in Wimbledon, England. We received this news from Ms. Morris, one of our wonderful chaperones: 

The Tennis Championships in Wimbledon start later this month, and today we got an early glimpse of the beautiful tennis complex, which includes 50 courts. We enjoyed a behind-the-scenes walking tour. We toured the courts (the centre court was our favorite) and the official media room. Thank you, Miss Torto, Ursuline High School English Teacher, for joining in on the fun. Amelie, our mini delegate, enjoyed the tour as well. 

Our 13 students will spend the weekend with their host sisters. Host family activities include visiting Harry Potter World, enjoying Brighton Beach, and shopping on Oxford Street. 

More cultural experiences await us, and we can’t wait. Thank you, Ursuline high School, for your hospitality! 

Wimbledon - Here we come!

Our 2018 Wimbledon delegation has been preparing for their journey "across the pond" for weeks and today they have arrived safe and happily at Ursuline High School in Wimbledon. The students and chaperones received a warm and lovely welcome at our UK sister school before heading off to rest and recover from travel with their hosts. We are looking forward to a fantastic exchange and we can't wait to hear more from our delegates!

Farewell Brescia House sisters!

This farewell morning came far too quickly for our UA hosts and their sisters from South Africa. There were many hugs and tears and it was quite a task pulling the girls apart (so sad). We had a wonderful exchange and we can't wait to see our South African sisters again !! We miss you already!
