Chiara G. spent this past year with us at UA Dallas as an exchange student. Chiara is from Italy and she came to the US through AFS, a premier organization for international student exchange. We enjoyed having Chiara as part of the Ursuline community and she tells us that she had a "fantastic" experience at Ursuline and in Dallas. At first, the new language and culture were challenging. However, Chiara is leaving with her heart full of gratitude for her wonderful classes, the growth that she experienced and the friends that she made. We asked Chiara what she learned at UA and she said that she learned that "you can appreciate someone no matter how different you are." She will remember "Ursuline as a great school, every single member of the academy and laughing in Haggar." Lastly, she wanted to say "Thank You, Ursuline, for giving me the opportunity to spend an amazing year that I will never forget. Serviam will be in my heart forever!"
Ciao Chiara! We love you and will miss you!!

Welcome Delaware Sisters!
This week, we are hosting our last (but certainly not least) student / faculty delegation of he year. Our sisters from Ursuline Academy of Wilmington, Delaware arrived on Wednesday and will spend a short but wonderful 7 days with us in Dallas. It's so nice to have our USA sisters with us! There are 7 students and 2 teachers in the delegation and the fun has already begun with a warm welcome, a school tour, classes and a visit to the 6th Floor Museum (the museum dedicated to the life and legacy of President John F Kennedy). It's already a fantastic visit!

Fabulous Times at Iguassu Falls
After leaving our friends in Ribeirao Preto, our Brazil delegation headed south to Iguassu Falls, on the border of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. It is an extraordinary place filled with biodiversity, natural wonders and man-made wonders. We are just about to depart Brazil but here are some photos of our wonderful weekend in Iguassu. The photos are from the Itaipu hydroelectric dam, the waterfalls at Iguassu National Park and the Bird Park. It was a marvelous experience!!
Oh the thrill of Brazil - How glorious it has been!! See you soon in Big D!
