Oh how we hate to see our dear friends go home! We had a wonderful exchange with our UK sisters and now all are safely back home in London. We wanted to be sure to give the delegation a "proper" send-off so we gave a "High Tea" in honor of our UK faculty colleagues on Friday afternoon. It was a lovely chance to relive some fun moments from our time together and also to say goodbye after a wonderful visit.
Of course, the tears flowed at the airport as the students bid farewell to their Texas host families. Our time together was short but fantastic! We can't wait to see you again in England in 2018!

The UK at UA
We have enjoyed having our Wimbledon sisters in classes and on campus with us during the first days of their visit. The delegation has visited several classes including theatre and journalism where each student was interviewed by a Bear Facts reporter about her experiences in the USA. Because this week is Homecoming week, our British sisters have been very amused by the various outfits that our students are wearing. Yesterday was "pajama" day so the Bear Facts staff was dressed in very informal attire.
Another highlight of the school days was yesterday's Wimbledon presentation in the KIVA. The delegates told us all about their school and all about life in England. Our students loved learning about Wimbledon tennis, UK music and British slang phrases. We could not be enjoying our guests more!

Welcome Wimbledon Delegation!
Last night we welcomed our sisters from Ursuline High School in Wimbledon, England to Dallas! 11 students and two teachers from the UK will be our special guests for the next 10 days! We are excited to show them many of our exciting fall traditions such as intramural preparation, Homecoming, Halloween frights, the State Fair and more!
Many of the UA students who visited England last summer are serving as host students. They were so excited to be reunited with their sisters from across the pond!!
Today was our first day together in school so, of course, the occasion called for some UA gifts and some special spooky donuts! It was so much fun to hear about our guests on the announcements and to see them in the halls of UA. It's wonderful to have you here with us!
