HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
Halloween is always a very festive day at UA Dallas. The faculty dresses up in costumes and we all enjoy the friendly costume competition. This year did not disappoint! The Global Department went as the whole world, divided into continents including the incorporation of Brexit, made possible by our UK faculty friends! We are happy to report that we won the "Most Departmentally inspired" competition!! Of course, we had to let the students have some fun so, in the afternoon, our UK guests went trick or treating all around the school. Happy Halloween!!

Friday at UA
What a busy and exciting day we had today with our British guests! Early in the day, the Wimbledon delegation gave a presentation to 100 or so UA Dallas students. They showed a film about their school and about life in London / Wimbledon. Then, after answering a few questions from the audience, the students were able to gather in small groups and just chat and get to know one another a little more casually and freely. It was a lot of fun! (note: UA Dallas students were allowed to "dress like a faculty member" today so that is the reason for the unusual dress in the photos).
Later in the day, the students had a little break where they decorated pumpkins for Halloween - so creative and so much fun!!
Wimbledon around DFW
After serving the community and attending a few classes at Ursuline, our guests were ready to enjoy being "Texan tourists" for a little while. The delegation visited the Bush Presidential Library, the Ft. Worth Stockyards and the At & T Football stadium this week. All have had a wonderful time and all can verify that things are definitely bigger in Texas!

SERVIAM in Dallas
In the spirit of Serviam, our visiting UK delegation took some time out to serve the community at the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift store, an agency of Catholic Charities which serves the needy in our community. The students sorted, cleaned and organized items which will be sold or donated through the thrift store. The students worked very hard and enjoyed seeing the excellent results of their efforts - Thank you for your help!!
